Individuals are welcome to volunteer with Knights Table.
A list of urgent volunteer opportunities is listed below. Once you have found an opportunity that appeals to you, please email volunteer@knightstable.org your intention.

Once a volunteer applicant has successfully completed the Orientation and Screening process, the volunteer is placed in one or several positions following:
(Position descriptions are not limited to duties indicated)
- Answering telephones, providing customer service and taking messages for members of management.
- Sort mail/e-mail
- Input daily statistics in our databases – data entry
- Filing sign-in sheets and other public domain documents
- Other miscellaneous office tasks
- Ambassador role – knowledgeable about the Knights Table
- Represent the organization at various community events
- Promote and share information on the programs & services
- Assist in recruiting volunteers, donors and other supporters
- (only required on specific shifts)
- Required daily from 7:30am-10:30am
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Own vehicle preferred
- Duties include picking up donations from local partners
- Knowledge and experience in different areas to support a variety of activities
- Tasks are assigned by the Operation Manager
- Welcome clients, provide menu, offer suggestions and answer any questions
- Assist clients with meals to ensure their needs are met
- Explain menu items and assist clients with any special dietary needs
- Serve food & beverage
- Ensure that tables are prepared for the clients
- Assist with clearing the tables of all plates, cups, and flatware
- Help to prepare meals and assist cook as directed
- Maintain proper health & safety standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Inventory control (items in/items out)
- Food distribution
- Client management
- Program statistics report
- Perform tasks under the direction of the Operations Manager
- Peel and cut different vegetables
- Prepare salads, and vegetables
- Perform simple food preparation tasks such as making soups, meats, potatoes etc.
- Perform many other food service tasks
- Monitor food for freshness and safety, maintain a clean kitchen and store ingredients properly
- Taking out all garbage
- Maintain and clean facility
- Mopping and sweeping
- Cleaning and restocking bathrooms
- Cleaning kitchen stoves
- Clean dishes, kitchen, equipment, or utensils.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
